Reflections

Reflections on the past, present and future.

Have you ever looked back at someone or some moment in your life and either smiled or cringed?! I was reflecting different moments of my life and I realized certain people represented different mirrors and reflections of myself. The memories turned away from the actual people and turned to me looking into a mirror.

I took a glance back at my elementary years and can see the mirrors of innocence and uncertainty all surrounded in awe. I move to the junior high years and see the reflections of insecurity and defense. As I reminisce about the High school years people begin to wear the mirrors as I look at them. I see one who wore the mirror of immaturity, one who wore “freedom”, and another who had on self-doubt. These faces and places of mirrors continue to grow in my memories and it causes me to reflect upon them.

Many times before, taking this glance back, has caused frustration and unnecessary pain. There have been so many times where I have blamed the person or the situation. Now I look back and see so clearly they each represented something that I was personally dealing with. So many of those memories and those relationships could have gone so differently if only I had paid attention to my own selfishness and issues that were residing in my heart.

Growth comes with time but growth can truly only happen with a heart surrendered to God. God is the only key to unlock the selfless and secure heart. Growth will prayerfully happen until the day we are gone from this earth. My prayer is that the reflections begin to change as we take a glance at the past. I want to look back and see someone sanctified by God’s grace and who daily leans on the Word of God rather than the word of my own heart.

So I am sorry to those that wore those mirrors of the past. Thank you for helping me learn to grow but thank you to the Lord for your grace, love and forgiveness. ❤️

Question?!

I have a question and I beg you to answer it! I want to hear from you but please stick to the question at hand.

According to you: Are babies born from Divine Intervention or are they born from the sins of man?

My take: If they are born from Divine Intervention then ALL babies are purposeful, thought of, and are not an accident, made by their Creator. If they are born from the sins of man then they are ALL consequences, ripple effects of the cause and effect of sin and can therefore be categorized as accidents or unwanted troubles which we keep dealing with from generation to generation.

So which one?
